Commons:Requests and votes/Yuval Y
I'm a native hebrew speaker and helped some Israely users who donesn't speak English very well, categorised some images, marked some others... I admit, sometimes I care enough to feel like an Administrator de-facto File:Blush.png Yuval Y 19:57, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

- Support We have no Hebrew-speaking admins (Jossifresco is he-2 but not very active - that is literally it) and he.wp is a top 20 Wikipedia language. Having native speaking admins is one very strong way we can encourage more he.wp users to use the Commons and make them feel more comfortable here. Also Yuval and friendly and helpful in his own right. :) --pfctdayelise (说什么?) 04:56, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
- Support The user might be somewhat unexperienced here at Commons, but I am sure he will be a good admin. Cheers, --Kjetil_r 06:35, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
- (Could I reply here?) I admit, I am getting a bit comfused with bureaucracy, but I'm willing to learn. Besides, even though I've uploaded few images, It seems that I've contributed a lot... File:Blush.png Yuval Y 08:27, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
- Support per pfctdayelise, et al. More languages == goodness. Hebrew is vastly underserved here and this candidate seems willing to learn, see answers to Fred's questions. (was I supposed to enter this text right to left??? GRIN) ++Lar: t/c 13:13, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
- Support. Still quite new, but very active. An HE administrator would also be greatly beneficial to the project. --tomf688 (talk - email) 16:51, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
- Support per the above. The Hebrew is certainly an active enough project for us not to have an admin rep here... and Yuval Y seems to be a worthy candidate. Cary "Bastiq▼e" Bass demandez 14:30, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
- Support : For an Hebrew-speaking admin even if he's little young here. With the wish he will stay active. Oxam Hartog 19:29, 30 October 2006 (UTC)

- Support - We very much need Hebrew-speaking admins. This went unnoticed for hours.--HereToHelp (talk) 23:53, 3 November 2006 (UTC)

Discussion
Thank you for applying. Three questions:
- How do you tag images with insufficient sources?
- How do you find system messages to translate?
- How do you contact other administrators? Give three ways.
/ Fred Chess 20:44, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
- Well...
- For images with insufficient sources I'd use {{No source since}}
- I'm not sure I've understand your question - did you refer to templates, or the uesr talk pages?
- I can contact other administrators by using the their chat page, or by using Commons:Help desk, Commons_talk:Licensing, Commons:Administrators' noticeboard.
- Best regards, Yuval Y 21:38, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
Correct answers:
- You should use {{subst:nsd}} or {{subst:nld}}.
- Best way is to go to Commons:Help page maintenance.
- You can also use the mailinglist or IRC.

- Thanks for the tip, {{Nsd}} and {{Nld}} are much shorter than {{No source since}} and {{No license}}. I've took a look at Commons:Help page maintenance, and added it to my watchlist, to read it asap. Yuval Y 10:16, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
Ehm, maybe people think I am just negative now, but several of the images you have uploaded have to be deleted. Winnie The Pooh is a copyrighted character, so anything with Winnie the Pooh is not allowed here... (Please see Commons:Derivative work)... Do you have any comments to that...? / Fred Chess 22:41, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
- Ouch. I'm really sorry, it's the first time I'm hearing about that page and even though I've heard something about those regulations It's the first time I'm actually reading about it. I guess you sould delete the copyrighted picturs and it seems that we sould also warn the Flickr users... I'll translate the page to hebrew asap, but first I'd like to know some things:
- As I recall, the original toys aren't copyrighted. Am I right?
- What about draws and scans from the book itself - are the original Shepard illustrations considered {{Pd-old}}?
- What about the draw - which was uploaded by FlickrLickr, The baloons or the doggie's picture?

I'm here, and I'd like to thank everyone for supporting me. Yuval Y 19:49, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
