Commons:Requests and votes/Herbythyme
I wish to nominate Herbythyme to administrator position.
This user patrols new page creation and nominate vandalism/nonsense/out of scope pages to speedy deletion. As person who actually deleted many of them, I could say that I didn't see mistakes in nominations. I think this user will definitely help to keep Commons clean.
Edit count (it doesn't reflect nominations for deletions :-()
Confirmation of candidate. I am happy to accept this nomination. I do not profess to know all the aspects of Commons that I hope I will understand over time. However I do deal with vandalism and have been tagging non gallery pages for some time now (by a rough count around 400 over the past month, I started by "watching" them to see if I was making mistakes!). I have started to work through some of the uncategorized pages too to see if I can help there. I am an administrator on Wikibooks so I do have some experience of the requirements. If I can help I will but I would also like to think I would be able to contribute more constructively over time. --Herby talk thyme 16:17, 12 February 2007 (UTC)

- Support -- Herbythyme has long "held the fort" on Wikibooks against vandalism and spam, so I'm glad he wants to do that here, too. --SB_Johnny|talk|books 16:48, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
- Support -- don't know much about Herbythyme but the edits seem to be ok and as an admin on others wikis, you should get a lot credits upfront. Happy editing! 8) --Hedwig in Washington 17:41, 12 February 2007 (UTC)

- Support -- Herbythyme has been an excellent administrator and vandal- and spam-fighter at the English-language Wikibooks, and I think he'll be a great asset to Wikimedia Commons. --Iamunknown 01:42, 13 February 2007 (UTC)

- Support Hard worker, and will be cautious when in doubt -- great attitude. He has taken the time to learn about how things are done here and that should be applauded too. pfctdayelise (说什么?) 03:28, 14 February 2007 (UTC) (PS: he has more deleted edits than regular edits! And they're from marking pages for deletion, not writing crap ;))

- Support Herby is checking newpages regulary, with the "delete" button he'll be able to delete "test pages" more easily. I also like the statement here. --Matt314 14:56, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
