Giuseppe Cambini (1746–1825?) wrote the Trois Quintetti Concertans ("Three Wind Quintets") around 1802, making the some of the earliest ever composed. This recording was performed in 2004 by the Soni Ventorum Wind Quintet: Felix Skowronek (flute), Laila Storch (oboe), William McColl (clarinet), Christopher Leuba (horn), and Arthur Grossman (bassoon).

We don't appear to have a set template yet. I'd suggest we borrow the one from en:WP:FS. This may be grabbed using en:Template:FSCnom/init as the preload, en:Template:FSCnom/intro as the introduction, and en:Template:FSCnom as the helper template. Adam Cuerden (talk) 19:05, 21 May 2019 (UTC)

- Support - Loved these. I will create the set-reloader within the next 24 hrs, sorry for this problem (I assume you faced some problem while creating this nom due to absence of the reloader) -- Eatcha (Talk-Page) 19:18, 21 May 2019 (UTC)

- Support - Good quality performances (one could quibble here and there, but the overall quality was good, with some impressive flashy sections). The overall sound quality for this combination of instruments was pretty good to my ears. And I like the historical context for these works, which I didn't know in spite of having previously played in woodwind quintets and studied with Samuel Baron of the New York Woodwind Quintet and his sub for 13 years, Thomas Nyfenger, for over 13 years. A couple of smallish quibbles now: Of course this is a woodwind quintet, but "Quintetti Concertans" does not mean "Wind Quintets"; winds are "instruments à vent". Instead, this is a French translation of the Italian "Quintetti Concertanti", meaning quintets in the concerto-like concertante style. In other words, these are pieces showing off the virtuosity of each instrumentalist. Compare Mozart's Sinfonia Concertante, which features violin and viola soloists. My second quibble is an even smaller point: I think the 2nd and 3rd movements of the first quintet should be combined into one file, so that there isn't a hole where the 3rd movement was evidently played attacca (with no break after the 2nd movement). -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 03:46, 22 May 2019 (UTC)
- @Ikan Kenkek: I could probably arrange the latter. As for the former - I'm presuming that "Three Wind Quintets" is less of a translation and more of the common English name for the piece, like how "À la recherche du temps perdu" might be given as "Remembrance of Things Past" in English. - That makes sense. However, I think the concertante nature of these pieces is worth a brief description. You need virtuosi on every instrument to play these quintets. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 06:04, 24 May 2019 (UTC)

This sound file will be added to the FS category: Music
- Question - How do we configure things to feature this? Is the category just "Music", or do we need to do something special because it's a set? -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 04:45, 11 June 2019 (UTC)
- @Ikan Kekek: , you can verify this as you verify other results which are not sets -- Eatcha (talk) 05:38, 14 June 2019 (UTC)
