Description The first movement of Mozart's Serenade No. 13 ("Eine kleine Nachtmusik")

- Info This is actually a renomination since it seems to have been nominated before in October 2013, but I guess the project was more or less dead then and it didn't get any support. It's an excellent, really high-quality recording of an iconic piece of classical music. uploaded to commons by Graham87 - nominated by Cmao20 -- Cmao20 (talk) 20:27, 30 May 2019 (UTC)

- Comment - Wrong file location. Please fix that. I hope the file states who performed. I will await a chance to look at the file page before listening and appraising the performance. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 05:05, 31 May 2019 (UTC)
- Ikan Kekek, sorry, I thought I had fixed that. The default template for creating a nomination causes all sorts of problems like that when one follows the rules and puts a '/2' at the end to perform a renomination. Should be fixed now. Looks like the information you are looking for is there though. Cmao20 (talk) 06:46, 31 May 2019 (UTC)
- Thank you. Yes it is, although I had to click a couple more times to find out who and where the Advent Chamber Orchestra is. I think this, from the Category:Advent Chamber Orchestra page, should be included in the file description: "The Advent Chamber Orchestra, a conductorless orchestra, is based in Bolingbrook, Illinois, and usually performs in the Chicago metropolitan area" [slightly edited for grammar]. I'll listen to the file in the coming days. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 07:34, 31 May 2019 (UTC)
- Certainly. The text you have quoted is now copied to the file description. Cmao20 (talk) 10:54, 31 May 2019 (UTC)

- Oppose - This opposing vote may surprise some of you. Here's my reasoning: The tempo and most of the rhythmic feel was quite nice. However, this is an extremely commonly performed and recorded work, and there were enough problems with the intonation in the violins (fairly consistently a bit out of tune with one another) and the (sometime lack of) syncing in the ensemble that I just can't consider this outstanding. Instead, if this is the only or best recording of this movement that we have, I would support it for Valued Sound Candidates, if we had such a designation. Mind you, it's by no means a bad performance, and I did enjoy it, overall, but mostly from a standpoint of interpretation, not execution. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 18:08, 31 May 2019 (UTC)
