Vivat ribbons
[edit]Going through Category:World War I Vivat ribbons, I found the following:
- File:Vivat-bander - 1914 - Herzog Albrecht von Württemberg by JPJ.jpg: JPJ is Julius Paul Junghanns, died 1958. See [1]
- File:Vivat-bander - 1914-1915 - Wilhelm II by J.R.J.jpg: not "J.R.J." but "J.P.J." again. Julius Paul Junghanns, died 1958. See [2].
- File:Vivat-bander - 1916-01-18 - Wilhelm II + Ferdinand I by J.P.J.jpg: Junghanns again.[3]
- File:Vivat-bander - 1914 - Brussel.jpg: not "Kols" but "Kolb". Alois Kolb, died 1942. See [4]
- File:Vivat-bander - 1915-08-05 - Ivangorod by K. Holleok-Weithmann.jpg: not "Holleok" but "Holleck": Karl Holleck-Weithmann,[5] born 1872. Different death years found: 1952,[6][7] 1955,[8] after 1955,[9], 1962,[10] 1962 in Buenos Aires.[11] Hard to say which one's correct, but for 1962, that last link from a museum even gives a place. In any case, still under copyright.
- File:Vivat-bander - 1916 - by Hanns Anker.jpg: Hanns Anker died 1950.
All the above are clearly not PD yet. There are two more where I was able to identify the author, but not his death year:
- File:Vivat-bander - 1915-09-04 - Grodno.jpg by Otto Roloff (1882-?) [12]: death year unknown, no proof for PD-old-70, and {{Anonymous-EU}} doesn't apply since the designer is known.
- File:Vivat-bander - 1915-10-26 - Brza Palanka.jpg: ditto.
This Otto Roloff was an illustrator of de:Brehms Tierleben, 1952-55 edition. C.f. de:Alfred Roloff, [13].

- Delete - good research. /Pieter Kuiper (talk) 18:52, 25 October 2010 (UTC)
Two more by Erich Heermann. According to Hastaba, Ellen (ed.): "Tirols Künstler 1927", pp. 134–136; Universitätsverlag Wagner, Innsbruck, Austria, 2002; Schlern-Schriften 319; ISBN 3-7030-0365-0; Heermann died 1947.

- Delete I guess I was too optimistic to assume that most WWI stuff will be in PD by now, and my research attempts were hampered by my lack of knowledge of German. I will do better vetting with the rest of the my collection of ribbons (it was in the family since WWI), which I did not scanned mostly due to too small scanner size. My try again in a decade or two. :) --Jarekt (talk) 20:01, 25 October 2010 (UTC)
Deleted the specified ribbons, kept the category because there are some PD ribbons in it. Jim . . . . Jameslwoodward (talk to me) 15:32, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
