Commons:Deletion requests/Template:FoP-Bulgaria
The template is by itself erroneus. COM:CRT/Bulgaria#Freedom of panorama is clear that the country has no Commons-applicable freedom of panorama that complies with Commons:Licensing (that is, images of copyrighted buildings and sculptures can also be reused commercially). FOP is a general exception to the copyright law, not a determiner on public domain by way of copyright term of a work (as the template now stands). The best substitite to this erroneus template is the generic {{PD-old-70}}. And to note, the existence of this may lead into misconception that there is Commons-compatible FOP in Bulgaria. - Delete Let's delete this and create a new {{NoFoP-Bulgaria}} template. However, Deletion discussions are ongoing for NoFoP templates. Please check here. Ox1997cow (talk) 16:05, 13 February 2021 (UTC)
- @JWilz12345: I made {{NoFoP-Bulgaria}}. See it. Ox1997cow (talk) 17:05, 5 March 2021 (UTC)
- Technically, the template just gives regular copyright rules, meaning the only way to use it is if the building/sculpture/whatever has passed into the public domain (70pma has passed). That... is technically correct, if using it for very old buildings to indicate there is no longer a copyright on it, as an explanation as to why the photo is OK. But I guess someone might get the wrong impression just seeing the name, and indeed the two usages that I see don't conform to that (they are picturing modern works). - Delete Redundant template. Content solely refers to the terms of PD. --A1Cafel (talk) 06:54, 20 July 2021 (UTC)
Kept: it is redirected to NoFoP-Bulgaria, there was a general consensus to keep NoFoP templates. --rubin16 (talk) 07:58, 16 November 2021 (UTC)
