  • "Ksptry small.png" has the following note:
This file, which was originally posted to incompetech.com, was reviewed on 16 March 2017 by the administrator or reviewer Taivo, who confirmed that it was available there under the stated license on that date.
@Bsivko: Per File:Kerbal Space Program High Res Logo.png, the logo of Kerbal Space Program is protected by copyright. Badzil (talk) 12:02, 24 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Taivo: FYI. Badzil (talk) 12:03, 24 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
The fact is that the whole picture (not logo) is published on CC-BY website. If I understand correctly, is it logo or not, and which rights were given or not to Kevin MacLeod, it is your personal conclusion, isn't it? Bsivko (talk) 12:24, 24 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
If the logo is copyrighted, then the image itself cannot be licensed under CC-BY. Badzil (talk) 14:44, 24 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I've got the answer as yes, it's only your opinion and your logic. The fact is that the image is licensed as it is on web-site. One more fact is that Kevin MacLeod webcite is not a random webcite and not aggregator like flikr. Moreover, Kevin MacLeod wrote most of the music for KSP, and he worked closely with Squad and personally with Falanghe. It means that Squad is aware of publication of the album on the webcite and if there were any problems with rights we certainly would know about it. But the image is published and it's a clear evidence that the license is correct. Bsivko (talk) 15:17, 24 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
By no means am I an expert, and you might very well be right. I pinged Taivo (talk · contribs) and am hoping that he'll come and give his opinion on this. Badzil (talk) 15:45, 24 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia works with facts first of all, and every user is an expert. If you are an expert, you can easily provide a proof according to your knowledge which is connected to particular evidence/rules/practice. However, here I see only only single opinion - one user think that part of one picture looks similar to another. Nothing more is provided. In practice, no any evidence. In the same way, all suits of kerbals look similar to ACES NASA suits, and devs confirmed it. But it doesn't say that we need approval of NASA. Bsivko (talk) 17:57, 24 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe my "I am an expert"-reaction is not polite, and sorry for that. In my practice, usually experts operate with more concrete and formal arguments. Bsivko (talk) 19:33, 24 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
By the time, the circumstances are much stricter. Kevin MacLeod considered by Squad as a member of game creators and particular license provided. In addition, the image is not from the game (it is not conneted to KSP directly) - the image is Coverart of Kevin MacLeod's album and the whole album (coverart included) published on author's webcite under his license. Bsivko (talk) 17:57, 24 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
 Keep file:Ksptry small.png. You wanted my opinion. The logo surpasses threshold of originality and would normally require OTRS-permission from copyright holder. But I am quite satisfied with Bsivko's explanation here, that Squad knows well Kevin MacLeod's actions. In my opinion the cover can stay here, but others can think differently. Deleted: per nomination, except one.  Comment I am not sure about the license for the logo, but I trust Taivo's review. --Yann (talk) 11:52, 5 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
