personal files, out of project scope

Jon Kolbert (talk) 04:27, 21 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Nominator's response included the assertion the images: "...are not realistically useful for an educational purpose. The person is not considered notable by Wikipedia's standards and thus images of them would likely fall out of scope."
If a wikipedia AFD discussion concludes an individual does not measure up to the wikipedia's inclusion standards, then we could say that individual was "not considered notable by Wikipedia's standards". But can this assertion be made, so definitively, if no one had ever tried to start an article on this individual? There are lots of potentially notable individuals, maybe tens of millions of individuals, who have never had anyone write about them. This is all covered in the english language wikipedia's wikidocument OTHERSTUFFEXISTS.
A google book search does confirm at least one book by the individual depicted here - [1]. This book may be from a vanity press, and thus very likely unnotable, but even if, for the sake of argument, it was a book from a vanity press, surely a more helpful reply wouldn't have hurt? • Thank you for you opinions, but here are some prove from internet sources [1] [2] [3] I don't know are those enough for deletion, and I also don't know how to provide such information or this type of things. If it is OK then keep the files or you can delete the photos of that writer. The writer's name is Salman Aziz a.k.a. AKA$H. --S Kahn (talk) 12:20, 7 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
    • S Kahn, there is already an OTRS ticket, from March, which implies you already sent an acceptable proof that you are your father's literary heir.
I am very sorry this process has been so frustrating for you. This is not how we should treat generous literary heirs.
I am not one of those trusted volunteeers entrusted to look at those OTRS tickets, but I strongly suspect you already proved your bona fides, in March.
Cheers! Geo Swan (talk) 13:16, 7 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you so much Geo Swan (talk) for reaching me, but I don't understand about what you said. Is that meaning that the photos are going to be deleted? Or not? Cause I don't know about the wikimedia thing OTRS ticket. Please conform me. If the photos are going to stay then please contribute on those things and edit it to provide resources to make the photos real and yes untag the deletion process. --S Kahn (talk) 15:23, 8 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Keep The previous deletion request made basically the same argument (out of scope) but was closed as "keep". You need to provide new arguments to open another deletion request. De728631 (talk) 13:30, 10 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Comment No OTRS ticket was found under S Kan, AKA$H or any possible combination. I found no mention in Internet of this artist, and all files have no metadata; only available information it's that copyright holder is AKASH, but we have no permission from him (or the photographer), so I agree with the idea of  Delete at this point. Regards. --Ganímedes (talk) 16:49, 10 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for checking the tickets. Based on this information I agree that these files should be deleted because of insufficient copyright status. De728631 (talk) 23:04, 10 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings, Ganímedes (talk) and De728631 (talk) Thank you so much for communicating with me! Basically the author name is Salman Aziz and AKA$H his stage name [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] . I already have got the permission from the writer to upload his photos. Would you kindly help me to fix this process? Because I don't know where and how to get OTRS ticket! I would be helpful if anyone help me! Regards --S Kahn (

Ask the copyright holder to send permission to COM:OTRS. They will be replied back with a ticket number. After they do so, tag the file with {{OTRS pending}} template. Masum Reza📞 09:20, 17 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Comment S Kahn: Not permission under Salman Aziz neither, even when permission should come from the photographer, not the subject. Besides, still exist the problem of notability. And, in that case, OTRS permission won't help. We only verify authorship and copyrights, but we don't grant notability to the subject. Regards. --Ganímedes (talk) 12:30, 17 November 2019 (UTC) Thank you so much Ganímedes (talk) for replying. But I am the photographer. I have taken the photos of Salman Aziz. Those were mobile photography! Please help me! I don't know how to fix it. I would be grateful if you help me. Regards --S Kahn (talk) 12:42, 17 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Masum Reza📞 Thank you for reaching me! But I don't know how to do it! I really can't understand how to fix this problem. I am the photographer of this author (Salman Aziz) and with his permission I have uploaded this photos. Please help me! I would be grateful. Regards, --S Kahn (talk) 12:47, 17 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Please see COM:OTRS. This page contains instructions how to send an email in order to verify your authorship and grant a free licence for your uploads. Once you have sent such an email please add a string of code {{subst:OP}} to each of those file pages at Commons. De728631 (talk) 15:56, 17 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
OTRS can't help if notability is not set. But... If you're the photographer, please be ready to send the original, unmodificated file, in order to verify information of the camera, in addition to the permission template. --Ganímedes (talk) 01:28, 18 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted: per nomination. files can be restored if an OTRS ticket is approved (and notability established). Ruthven (msg) 15:44, 30 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
