Ambiguous definition of term use. Are derivative works and/or commercial use permitted?

EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:43, 11 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

http://japan.kantei.go.jp/policies/terms_e.html Commercial use of Content is also permitted. https://www.mhlw.go.jp/english/terms_of_use.html Commercial use of Content is also permitted. What needs to be determined to meet the copyright criteria? I'm new at Wikimedia Commons --Randdavit (talk) 17:20, 11 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The copyright page states, "The information made available via the website (hereinafter referred to as “Content”) may be freely used by any person in accordance with provisions 1 to 6 detailed below, including reproduction, public transmission and adaptation through translation or other modifications, etc. Commercial use of Content is also permitted." Doesn't this constitute "copyrighted free use"?--146.151.113.93 04:01, 27 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

PS I made a derivative :File:Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare and Objective of Novel Coronavirus Countermeasure.svg (if delete source-pdf, delete that also the svg)  — Johannes Kalliauer - Talk | Contributions 18:43, 28 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete This is not freely licensed. The license contains the following provisions:
3) Prohibited use
a. The Content must not be used in the following ways:
(a) Usage that violates laws and ordinances, regulations, or public policy *
(b) Usage that represents a threat to the safety of the state and/or its citizens

* Usage violating public policy means criminal use, use that is contrary to moral principles (marital order, sexual morality), use that severely restricts personal freedom, profiteering or unfair dealings etc.

Particularly the provisions on "use that is contrary to moral principles" is problematic. This is definitely not freely licensed and should be removed. Zellfaze (talk) 16:08, 31 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I agree to delete, because I'm not understand Japanese letter.Gsarwa (talk) 03:04, 24 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Kept: per {{GJSTU1}}. If this license is to be deprecated, it needs to be a community-wide decision, not a w:WP:LOCALCONSENSUS at an individual DR. --King of ♥ 05:58, 19 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
