Obviously not own work but I've seen images like these before so depending on where they actually came from they might be under an acceptable license. DR'ing them all just in case.

Delete These seem to all be taken from Conchology.be. Nothing there suggests that the photos are being made available under a Wikimedia compatible license. Uploader may have some association with Guido Poppe (the proprietor of Conchology.be), as they have created Poppe's biography on en.wiki and have edited many articles on species described by Poppe. However, no indication is provided with these uploads that Poppe is releasing them under a compatible license. Plantdrew (talk) 23:35, 21 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

 Delete unless uploader can provide proof they took photos. For example original image files, photos of collection with their username in the image. COM:OTRS may be the place, as there is evidence these are taken from websites.--BevinKacon (talk) 19:33, 23 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Comment The uploader has also submitted many other similar images not covered here, including some recent images which are similar in style but lacking the copyright text. The OTRS should not only demonstrate authorship (i.e. that the uploader is indeed G. & Ph. Poppe or an authorised agent), but that these are indeed to be released as free licence i.e. conventional copyright restrictions are waived. Dl2000 (talk) 21:18, 23 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The editors history suggest they are officially connected to Conchology.be, so there may be a possibility to keep images from there. It would be nice to keep such quality images.--BevinKacon (talk) 11:38, 25 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

 Keep I have an evidence, that the User:Indici demonstrated authorship (that the uploader is indeed G. & Ph. Poppe or an authorised agent). I did not received such information by email, but via social network. So I know, that images were uploaded legally. There is no mention about license. I consulted the case with (Czech) OTRS member User:Mates, but he found this unsatisfactory. If you will be really so strict and if you will really demand license information about every single file uploaded in the past and uploaded in the future by User:Indici, although you know that the user has rights to release those images under the any license according to the user's decision, then I can not help. Comment: I confirm e-mail discussion with user:Snek01 about this issue telling me about his findings. Opposite to him I did not find information received in such way satisfactory for verification of User:Indici authorship. I demanded a proper permission sent via OTRS mailing system containing user authorship verification and further licensing. Since the DR involves many files and user Snek01 is in contact with authors of Conchology.be, we could give him and this DR some extra time so we won't have to delete and restore 150+ files in a short time.
