None of these are own works. So either plain copyvios, or AI-generated fake images.

Some are really bad looking, like early days MidJourney nonsense with uncanny faces and other such details. Totally inappropriate as a historical document, and iffy even if clearly tagged as an artwork — which, being non-comtemporary nor otherwise historical, is still inappropriate. However some of these are in use in at ht:Lis prezidan Ayiti. What now? -- Tuválkin 13:36, 28 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Delete We have to get rid of them before Alamy and others begin to copy them. We risk reuploading them years from now, not realizing their origin. All have no source and an incorrect license. Some are real images, but they appear to be under active copyright. The Haitian Wikipedia can host the few real president images under "fair use", but even there the original source needs to be acknowledged. --RAN (talk) 14:20, 28 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Comment File:Emperor James I of Haiti (Dessalines).jpg appears to trace back to an Etsy shop where the seller identifies themself as the creator of the image using an AI tool. ("The artwork was created by myself (Mikelson Toussaint-Fils) using artificial intelligence (Midjourney). I am a 3D artist but most of the artwork in this shop are AI-generated and modified/polished in Photoshop. The creation date is February 16, 2023.") With the proper credit, this one may be allowable under COM:AI. —Tcr25 (talk) 15:08, 28 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You can see how they can be copied and circulate and gain legitimacy. Some of these are comical, but the next generation will harder to detect. --RAN (talk) 05:29, 29 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Good catch on the frame. The image itself is fine (lithography by Santiago Hernandez who died in 1909), but the frame could well be an issue. I updated the file based upon finding the artist information, but will go back and add in the dispute tag based on the frame. —Tcr25 (talk) 16:34, 28 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Note that all the images at fr:Liste des chefs d'État du Mexique use that frame or similar. —Tcr25 (talk) 16:36, 28 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Delete all images which can't be traced back to an artist, as they're likely to be fabricated. In particular, most of the paintings of "Haitian generals", towards the end of the list, look suspect to me. A bunch of them have misshapen buttons and medals on their chest; some of them look suspiciously similar to other known art of the subject (e.g. File:General Charles Herard of Haiti.png and File:Charles Rivière-Hérard.jpg). Perhaps most ridiculously, File:Pierre Nord Alexis general of Haiti.jpg is wearing a crown? Omphalographer (talk) 21:56, 28 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Most ridiculously, for me, even more then the anachronic crown, is his half moustache… -- Tuválkin 03:18, 29 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
