Do not believe these are self created

  • Why you just suddenly mark all (yes, ALL the 206 files I uploaded) my images as not self work? Proof? The only one that's not created by me using paint.net is Hamburger_Sanok-removebg-preview.png (which is remove.bg) which I marked as self work because the zoom was broken and the not self work button didn't appear. There may be legitimate issues on some of these, but there is no imaginable copyright issue with images such as the following: they are below the threshold of originality for copyright.

These are the first five I happened to look at. Again, there may be some images in this long list that have a copyright problem, but if so those should be singled out. Clearly we should not delete these wholesale based on a copyright issue that does not apply to a large number of them. @Orizan: can you give some examples of specific images that you think have an actual issue? Please withdraw this DR request. I am sorry. Orizan (talk) 21:36, 9 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I think it's reasonable to close this as kept. The original nominator wants to withdraw the request. While there may be some reason to delete some of these (e.g. scope, or some might even violate copyrights), the bulk of them are probably fine and this mass deletion is only going to lead to confusion. If any are actually issues, let's see them nominated either individually or in small, coherent groups with a clear rationale for deletion. - Jmabel ! talk 00:02, 10 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
