Are Google Translate generated pronunciations copyrightable? See also Google's Terms of Service ("we retain any intellectual property rights we have in the services"). This is a weird enough issue that I'm not tagging these as copyvios.

Yes. I have also now checked over 57 audio files used on Wikimedia Commons and not flagged for copyright and see that they have all been generated via Google Translate. Furthermore, forums on Google site and Quora agree on this issue: the audio is user-generated and public domain AnonPR (talk) 13:14, 31 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
