The uploader states these are all "own work", but then credits them to "Blogie Robillo", "Chantal Conand", "Christophe Cadet", and "Gabrielle Ringot", respectively. It is not clear which one of these people is the uploader, or where the photos came from and if there is permission to license photos from all these photographers.--Ruff tuff cream puff (talk) 17:36, 19 March 2018 (UTC)
- Hello, Ruff tuff cream puff. I am FredD, a professional marine biologist, and I am used to uploading files given by colleagues, with their authorization. You won't find these files anywere else on the web before I uploaded them. The OTRS system is too heavy to use each time, so I do OTRS tickets only for people uploading a massive number of pictures. As the uploader, I take the entire responsibility of this, and for over 10 years I've been doing so there has never been any author complaint about my uploads, and many of the pictures I upload are extremely precious for WP as they illustrate biological groups that have no other illustration on the whole internet. I have discussed this method many times with other contributors and it always went OK. If you have any better idea, tell it to ME before setting a deletion request and putting in danger such a big work and all in my back. Of course I can provide to you the e-mail address of every photographer who send pictures to me if needed. Best regards, FredD (talk) 04:38, 21 March 2018 (UTC)
- I have no idea who you are or what you do, I just saw photos that seem to be created by someone other than the uploader, so I tagged them just as I tag anyone else's uploads. It's not personal, it's Commons policy and it's how prevent copyright violations. There was no disclaimer on the photos indicating "don't nominate this for deletion, come to me first" so how would I know. I do appreciate what you are doing, but at this time we can't tell if we have permission from each photographer. What happens to the images is not up to me at this point. Thanks, Ruff tuff cream puff (talk) 15:18, 21 March 2018 (UTC)
- There is a reason why the name of the uploader is available too, but fair enough. Can you please end the request then ? Thanks and br, FredD (talk) 05:41, 25 March 2018 (UTC)

Deleted: per nomination; Uploader is not correct to upload images created by other people, and the OTRS system is not "too heavy to use each time", it's Commons policy. Uploaders don't get to not do whatever they think is cumbersome to participate in Commons, in much the same way that drivers do not have the right to ignore traffic signals while driving. --Ellin Beltz (talk) 15:34, 1 April 2018 (UTC)
- Two files restored as per [1]. Yann (talk) 12:54, 7 April 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks. The 2 other OTRS have arrived as well now (Chantal Conand and Christophe Cadet if I remember well, but I don't have access to the pictures informations). What I didn't expect is that now I need to put it back on the tens of articles they were used on before, but for this there is no record... BR, FredD (talk) 18:52, 7 April 2018 (UTC)
- Comment Two more files restored with OTRS permission. Yann (talk) 14:50, 26 April 2018 (UTC)
