Files from ENcontrARTE - #1 - Creador@s somos tod@s : Indígenas de Venezuela: los Piaroa website

[edit]

The following files are available on a website offering them under a free license. But this site doesn't seem to describe correctly pictures. It has for example been discussed on Commons:Bistro the author, source and date aren't clear.

Files concerned

Please see Commons:Forum#Copyleft (german) and User talk:Gunnex#files you want to erase without taking one minute to look at the source page... (english) for details. Gunnex (talk) 07:44, 28 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

these photos are clearly under the "copyleft" license mentionned at the bottom of the source pages (1, 2) . but Gunnex (talk) says that the license is not specific:

See also Commons:Forum#Copyleft. "Copyleft" (as indicated at the source site) is merely a concept, not a specific license. It must be concretized via (for example) a valid link to http://artlibre.org/licence/lal/es. {{FAL}} fails here. Yours sincerely Gunnex (talk) 23:30, 25 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

when i try to show this to him on his user talk page, he says there may be a copyright on these files, taking exemples of completly different situations, gives me the link to a "forum" in german (that i can't understand properly) and argues, trying to start a troll.

his answer to the "problem" was to put an "automatic removal" of the files, instead of creating a "deletion request" as here. i think this behavior isn't right nor welcomed on commons. this member should be warned not to act like this in the future, some other talks on his page show that he already did it before.

i know the rules of commons and i did the things i thought to be right. anyway as there seem to be a problem, i asked the source website to give me precisions on the photos (autor and license) and i should get an answer in the next days. i will contact the autor if needed, but it don't seem to be necessary as he put the photos under the "copyleft" license. --SyntaxTerror (talk) 00:00, 28 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
