Copyvio and derivative work. These images copyrighted by Nintendo. It is showed that in the game's original image (the source is a game)

I originally uploaded most or all of these, taking them from a GPL-ed game at http://www.pysol.org/ (actually taking them from how they were installed on my Linux machine, which was running Gentoo at the time I think), taking its license at face value. If they were illegally GPL'ed there, they should (also?) be deleted here, otherwise not. – gpvos (talk) 17:52, 26 April 2020 (UTC)
http://www.pysol.org/ doesn't give the original sourse of images. Now we (w:zh:WP:TG members) download the game, and check the elements of the image, We found that it seems to be from a gamecard from Nintendo https://www.tengudo.jp/. As GPL, I think it should be "stolen" from Nintendo https://www.tengudo.jp/.--A2569875 (talk) 18:30, 26 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
same image can be found in "pysol" game's folder "\PySol-Cardsets\data\cardset-kintengu", word kintengu in japanese is "金天狗", that is copyrighted by https://www.tengudo.jp/ ( image, product "kintengu"). Further evidence is on the File:Kintengu 12d.png, which includes a registered trademark of tengudo, indicating that the images are copyrighted.--A2569875 (talk) 05:32, 27 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Passing on some comments from two IPs (probably the same person) on Commons:Deletion requests/Files in Category:Nintendo Hanafuda (image set), which was recently closed as deleted. They suggested that this category was also copyrighted, saying:

  • "those images in that image set are also copyrighted - that's definitely a post-war Oishi Tengudo Kintengu deck. The pattern looked somewhat different before the war."
  • "if the Nintendo cards are deleted, the "Kintengu" ones should be deleted too, it's a pattern I'm pretty sure is still copyrighted - that's definitely a post-war pattern, and Oishi Tengudo's pattern is noticeably different from most other manufacturers" --Lord Belbury (talk) 09:09, 28 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
