These files use the outdated {{PD-GermanGov-currency}} license tag, which claims that German "units of currency" are official works in the public domain. That is what was assumed over 10 years ago, but discussions after that resulted in what we have at COM:CUR Germany today: only Deutsche Mark banknotes from 1949 to 2001 are considered to be in the public domain, not any other banknotes, not coins. Which means these ca. 1920 German Notgeld bills are not official works. The designer of these, de:Willi H. Lippert, died in 1981. Which means these bills are still protected by copyright in Germany until the end of 2051, and the files should be deleted. They can be restored in 2052.
