Files from the Polish Senat website

[edit]

Template_talk:PolishSenateCopyright only gives permission for photographs of Senators from the Senate website, so these photos are not covered under that permission.

  •  Delete Clearly the permission was given explicitely for images depicting polish senators only. Masur (talk) 09:34, 21 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Keep - I personally think we should read the permission extensively but if you are worried about (what exactly are we worried about?) then how about you try recontacting the Senate? It seems that they are more than open for clarification. I don't see why would anyone want to skip that step and go for deletion if you have good intentions. This would harm the project greatly and we should do everything to keep those photos.--Avala (talk) 17:34, 23 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Kept I read the permission differently -- it reads "our pictures", not "our pictures of Senators". .     Jim . . . . (Jameslwoodward) (talk to me) 16:02, 3 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Files from the Polish Senat website – renomination

[edit]

I am renominating all the above files for deletion, since the permission mentioned in the text of the template was explicitly granted for images depicting Senators only (mainly because that was what the Chancellery of the Senate was asked for), and we cannot (and should not) read the current wording extensively per COM:PRP. odder (talk) 09:24, 8 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  •  Delete Agreeing with Masur above, and as nominator. odder (talk) 09:24, 8 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Keep I have contacted the Chancellery of the Senate today. More info tomorrow. Boston9 (talk) 14:46, 9 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Comment According to this, permission is going to be arranged. I propose that leave this DR in temporary limbo in order to give time for permission to be sought. russavia (talk) 14:47, 9 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Keep this nominations is an idiotizm. Odder is withaou any work after blok in pl.wiki and this propositsions is an effect. Also Boston9 talk with the Chancellery of the Senate. It is enave to keep this files. Wizikj (talk) 20:00, 9 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Keep Polish Senate official has just sent us a proper agreement for CC-BY-SA 3.0 licence. It applies to all pictures from the list. For those who have access to OTRS - link to the relevant E-mail: [1]. Hope it finally solves the problem. Maybe the proponent of the mass deletion will do something useful and change license tags in all the files and add relevant OTRS template? Polimerek (talk) 09:24, 10 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Update - the OTRS system has just received a permission email from the Senate, confirming the application of the Creative Commons CC-by-sa-3.0 license. I have marked the pictures with the updated licensing / permission information, to be reviewed by Polish-speaking OTRS members (or any other, with Google Translate). Wojciech Pędzich Talk 09:35, 10 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Kept Thank you Odder for bringing this to our attention again. Thank you Boston9 for organising permission so quickly. And thank you Wpedzich for beating me to the punch in updating the files (just one thing, the OTRS permission is for {{Cc-by-sa-3.0-pl}} so I'll update the files for that. russavia (talk) 10:05, 10 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
