Per Commons:Deletion requests/Files in Category:Files from mynewsdesk.com with unreviewed licenses/Commons:Village pump/Copyright/Archive/2019/06#Mynewsdesk_2, and it seems clear to me that Sony Music Entertainment Sweden is mis-licensing photographs that don't belong to them. For example, File:Miley Cyrus The Kid LAROI.tif is likely the work of photographer Alana O'Herlihy]. File:LNX - MONTERO Wide Use 2 (Credit Charlotte Rutherford).jpg belongs to Charlotte Rutherford (and she's credited in the file name). It seems extraordinary that Sony Music Sweden could unilaterally change the license on behalf of photographers and Sony subsidiaries worldwide.

Now, I'm aware that this request includes images that have been reviewed, but in each case, the review happened before the above-linked Village Pump thread.

Neutral I have license reviewed several of these photos. Neutral about keep or delete, but since many photos from Newsdesk was uploaded many years ago, the request should stay open for at least 7 days. Thuresson (talk) 16:09, 1 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Neutral I did upload a great part of those files, but I find it extremely weird that images such as File:Miss Li in 2021.jpg can't be kept since, if you google it, you won't find any result except wiki pages and Sony Music Entertainment Swedent's mynewsdesk. Also, @Ytoyoda: , the same mass deletion request should be applied to the files in Category:Free-licensed photos by Warner Music Sweden (most of those links direct to this error page), don't you think so? --France3c0 (talk) 17:33, 1 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@France3c0: Thanks for responding here. I only listed Sony Music images because they were the ones I noticed and I wanted to be careful not to list too many images at once (even this feels like a lot). And taking a look at the Warner Music images, yes, I have doubts about their licensing. Anyway, I'm wondering if it makes sense to just list images that are explicitly credited to third-party photographers and/or from Sony's non-Swedish divisions.  Comment I agree it's unlikey that the non-Swedish images have correct license, but for the Swedish ones, it is not as obvious. Ainali (talk) 16:16, 22 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
