Comment If you're referring to the photos that they're holding, one thing that may be mentioned in this debate is that the photos are rather blurry from the glare. The photos aren't very usable if taken out of this context. And another thing is that we have a lot of these images that show " a picture of a picture" but it's only copyright violation if we crop it to only show those (otherwise we would have to delete many pictures that coincidentally show a photo). I mean look at this one. She's wearing a photo.--Hipposcrashed (talk) 01:21, 30 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Comment I am Christopher Hogue Thompson. I posted this picture. The photos of the tribesmen meeting Prince Philip were a personal gift from the Prince to the Yaohnanen. The pictures themselves are not under any form of copyright. The tribesmen also displayed these pictures in public as a public display. This picture as a whole can be considered a news event, like someone holding up a picture and posing for the cameras (for example, President Truman holding up the Chicago Tribune newspaper with Thomas Dewey's face the day after his re-election in 1948 -- the picture of Thomas Dewey is not considered copyright under these circumstances).
