Obviously not simple enough to be below the threshold of originality in China, which is very low. Existing case see Commons:Deletion requests/File:Shijiazhuang Metro.svg. Siyuwj (talk) 18:20, 6 December 2014 (UTC)
- Comment: File was undeleted by this request. --JuTa 03:21, 7 December 2014 (UTC)
- @JuTa: : I found no thorough discussion in this undeletion decision. What's more, the requester never referred me in the discussion. Thus I will insist my original point. It is NOT simple geometry shapes, nor is it a Chinese character (the shape of the character, 石, is quite different from the logo), thus artistic effort is surely involved. - Siyuwj (talk) 13:50, 7 December 2014 (UTC)
- Keep I disagree about the TOO claim, looks fairly simple. Fry1989 eh? 18:10, 7 December 2014 (UTC)
Delete. Maybe we should bring in the Copyright Law of United States to see whether it is a fairly simple image that is not under protection:
§ 1302. Protection under this chapter shall not be available for a design that is —(2) staple or commonplace, such as a standard geometric figure, a familiar symbol, an emblem, or a motif, or another shape, pattern, or configuration which has become standard, common, prevalent, or ordinary;
- First, this logo never appeared before, as it is selected in a public bidding for the local transit company, created by a private citizen. Thus the condition staple is not satisfied. Secondly, it is not a familiar symbol, a standard figure or a common configuration to make it commonplace. Therefore the logo is under protection even in the US, let alone in China where TOO is held more strictly. - Siyuwj (talk) 17:09, 10 December 2014 (UTC)
- I'm sorry but as the nominator you do not get to vote twice. Fry1989 eh? 19:06, 10 December 2014 (UTC)
- Keep, in use, {{PD-textlogo}}. –Be..anyone (talk) 02:30, 14 December 2014 (UTC)
