It does not seem plausible CG Record would be entitled to licence an advertisement realized by Passion Studio, produced by JD.com, and featuring the latter copyrighted mascot. OTRS validation needed. — Racconish 💬 06:10, 11 June 2019 (UTC)
- Please take a look at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1lo-8UWhVcg , It's the same video published by CGMeetup. When you see a or verification checkmark next to a YouTube channel's name, it means that the channel is verified by YouTube it self. I don't think channels verified by YouTube needs additional OTRS, there are many such videos if we start asking OTRS even from verified channels, IMO it's just waste of time. Please take into consideration that YouTube checks for copyright violations before giving a verified check-mark. Every video at https://www.youtube.com/user/CGMeetUp/videos is CC licensed, I don't think it's practical to ask them to send OTRS for that many videos. - Comment The issue here is not the verification of the identity of the YouTube licensor, CG Record, but their capacity to license a video whose copyright is owner by a third party. I also notice that the same video is posted on YouTube by CGMeetup without a CC-BY-SA license [1]. More important : the video is also posted on YouTube by JD.com, the likely owner of the related copyright, in a longer version and without a CC-BY-SA license [2]. - Comment The original Vimeo upload by Passion Studio make no mention of it being licensed under any CC license either. FakeShemp (talk) 13:13, 13 June 2019 (UTC)
- Speedy delete Checked the original upload, it is not liscensed under CC license as it was first uploaded on Viemo. SpinnerLaserz (talk) 17:44, 5 July 2019 (UTC)
- Comment CG Record didn't accidentally (or otherwise) tag this as CC when they didn't have the right to do so. They explicitly wrote in the description that they are in possession of written permission from the copyright owner and offer an e-mail address for anyone who requires further information. Has anyone contacted them? --SVTCobra (talk) 20:25, 5 July 2019 (UTC)
Kept: As this had an explicit copyright notice on the source page, and the channel seems legit, there is no indication is was not released with the correct license. --Sebari – aka Srittau (talk) 16:27, 29 October 2019 (UTC)
