Previously deleted categories (see also) restored by user:Ykvach with the help of user:Ahonc. I also requesting to take some actions to these users and to user:Bobek who continues edit warring in categories related to Crimea.--Soul Train (talk) 16:39, 28 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Previous deletion request was incorrectly closed. It should be disscussed at least 7 days, but was closed after two days. And I suggest that this request should be closed by neither Ukrainian, nor Russian sysop, because they may have not neutral POV.--Anatoliy (talk) 16:52, 28 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
--Yuriy Kvach (talk) 09:52, 29 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Let it be.--Soul Train (talk) 20:06, 28 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Delete at least for this category, because Abkhazia and South Ossetia actually do not belong to the Russian state, and it is only Georgia that claims those separatist republics to be "occupied". In general, "occupation" is a negatively connoted expression, which is for historical reasons often associated with violence, assault, and similar things. With that said, Category:Territories under occupation by Russia as well as Category:Territories under occupation by Israel are very problematic with regard to NPOV; as we don't know the exact borderline (and could consider any territory which had belonged to a different state 200 years ago an "occupied zone"), all that resulting in a large potential for POV vandalism. --A.Savin 07:20, 29 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Strong oppose I agree with the deletion of the previous Category:Georgian areas occupated by Russia, because it had a mistake in the title (sorry, I am not a native-English-speaker, it is clear)! But the category is actual. These two territories are considered as occupied according to the Law of Georgia about the occupated territories. Cannot be deleted! --Yuriy Kvach (talk) 09:28, 29 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Oppose Yes, Abkhazia and South Ossetia are independent. But Abkhazia and Shida Kartli are territory of Georgia. Much of the economy of them is based around the presence of Russian military forces. Russian military forces and territory of Georgia. No Treaty. Military occupation or not?--Dim Grits (talk) 15:20, 29 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Keep: Russian politics, Russian policy, Russian army → Russian occupation. These are the facts. Call a spade, a spade. Bobek (talk) 15:28, 29 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I can call your opinion not just non-neutral, but simply Nazi.--Soul Train (talk) 22:07, 5 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Anyway, a crystal clear "man-on-a-mission" account, having already been blocked two times within few days. The next editwar will end in an indef'ed block, that's for sure. --A.Savin 06:19, 6 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Delete The categories should a) help in navigation and b) as non-controversial as possible. This category is not needed for navigation as Abkhazia and S. Ossetia are already in the Category:Historical regions of Georgia. And it's of course rather controversial since not everyone agrees that these are occupied territories (there's a distinction between considering them Georgian de jure and considering them occupied by Russia). •  Delete Abkhazia and South Ossetia are unrecognized (or partially recognized) states. Kosovo was occupied by NATO forces, but I can't see "Occupied by NATO territories" category there - just "Countries of Europe" (I think that Kosovo is Serbia, but it is only my opinion). U.S. Navy protect Taiwan from the ships of the People's Republic of China. So may we talk about Taiwan as China's territory occupied by the USA? I don't think like this.--Korvatunturi (talk) 08:23, 10 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
