All uploads by Istkart

[edit]

I want to nominate all 7000+ images by User:Istkart for deletion. I haven't scrutinised every each of them, but I scrolled through the upload list and I think it's safe to assume that they only consist of poorly made (technically and artistically), unusable and inaccurate maps which are screencaps of flash files located at user's personal website. There are two types of images:

I don't see any utility for these, but one think they certainly do: render whole categories unusable for navigation (see Category:Maps of the Byzantine Empire for example).

Some of user's uploads were deleted earlier for the reasons above (being inaccurate and OOS).

I'm not tagging 7000+ files for obvious reasons. --Qbli2mHd (talk) 20:23, 24 February 2019 (UTC) [reply]

[edit]
  • Having sampled a few of these: mass deletion may well be in order, or (possibly) section these off into some subcategories where they will not render major categories useless. I'd be glad to see someone show why a few of these might be useful & should be kept on a case-by-case basis. Still, at the very least, User:Istkart should (1) explain what he/she is trying to do here and (2) refrain from further similar uploads until we have a consensus that we want what the user is uploading. - Jmabel ! talk 22:11, 28 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Delete per nom. @Jmabel: would it make sense to tag the files and list them here?   — Jeff G. please ping or talk to me 00:45, 2 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
    • @Jeff G.: It's an awful lot of files for an explicit list here, but tagging seems worth doing, so that someone has a chance to speak up about anything they think is worth saving. I really wish User:Istkart would weigh in to explain his/her intent and promise to refrain from further similar uploads until we have a consensus. Without that, I get a lot less interested in working out whether any of his/her work should be kept. - Jmabel ! talk 01:22, 2 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Delete per nom. They clutter categories and are really useless, not to mention usually riddled with errors and inaccuracies. Constantine 10:24, 2 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted: per nomination. --1989 (talk) 08:18, 3 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
