 Delete TinEye reports that same photo on [1] on Nov 5, 2017 and [2] on Sep 17, 2017. File was uploaded to enwiki on 7 August 2017, with no Exif metadata and not a particularly big resolution (it claims to have been cropped from an earlier image). Kept: Unfortunately, COM:INUSE and COM:NPOV are quite strict. As long as any sister project deems a file usable and it is in use, we don't judge on accurateness or correctness of the content, so we have to keep the file for now. It's currently still in use in the Sorani Kurdish, Hebrew, and Vietnamese Wikipedia. I would be willing to discount the use in Indonesian and Norwegian Wikipedia, as these seem to be only remnants in templates. As soon as it's not longer in use in the three mentioned language versions, you can file a new deletion request. --Gestumblindi (talk) 11:10, 8 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

 Keep: It seems clear to me that en:User:Redsimon is Simon GP Geoghegan, who also runs https://redsimon.co.uk/. For instance, the very fuzzy photos on http://www.redsimon.info/photosimon.htm look rather like the person on the user page above. Nice to see you, Saqib! What's wrong with File:QUEENS GALLERY.jpg and File:SCHOOL FOUNDED IN 1648.jpg? Also, the man is such a small part of File:DUNDEE 4.jpg and possibly File:FAKHAR 5.jpg that they might be kept as useful in spite of his being in the pictures. That is, if the uploader actually took the photos. If he's claiming the photos with him in them are selfies, that's definitely not credible, but the ones without him in them may genuinely be own work. User:ARIF BARLAS65, the question isn't who owns the pictures; the question is who owns the copyright to them. You obviously didn't take pictures with yourself in them, so those have to be deleted unless you can prove to COM:VRT that you own the copyright or the photographer contacts them to give permission for a usable license. The file name and description might actually be correct because there appear to be two people with that name — one German/Austrian cinematographer, and one Czech philosopher (see Wikidata:Q2530561 vs Wikidata:Q54359155, compare the different dates of birth). However, the nominated image has another issue: it appears to be a copyvio as there's a copyright notice in the exif data and the name of the photographer does not match the uploader's name.
