I am requesting adminship to help with clearing out some of the backlog of DR and copyvio removal requests. I've been member of Wikipedia since 2004 and did some page patrolling there and contributed several articles. I joined the Commons project back in 2007 and began with uploading images. As I became more involved and gained experience, I started doing some page patrolling here as well. Since 2011, I've been an image reviewer and have been using the file mover tool responsibly. I've gained experience in assessing copyright issues and freedom of panorama issues through being an image reviewer. My contributions have been in uploading useful photos to the project, tagging copyvios, helping with renaming and nominating appropriate files for deletion and contributing in some of the discussions. While I don't have experience dealing with user blocking and protecting pages from vandalism as those tools have not been available to me, I would likely become more involved in that if this request was successful and as I acquired experience with them over time. I am generally easy to get along with and feel like I could respond to users requests for admin help in a responsible and helpful manner. Thanks for considering this request for adminship. I uploaded this image responding to the request on the Talk page for a better image of a hummel figurine. This was before I started studying copyright issues in depth to do image reviewing. Now I think since it was created in Germany, it would enter public domain 70 years after death of creator. It was designed in 1948 by A. Moeller. While I could not find the date of his death anywhere, it is likely still within copyright and would be better moved to Wikipedia under fair use provisions. Warfieldian (talk)
I would point out that derivative works of objects such as tools which are utilitarian by nature and do not have a creative or artistic purpose would not be copyrighted for derivative use. Warfieldian (talk)
I would point out that there are several uses of this particular image from different source that identify the year as 1912 which would be consistent with the known history and career of this particular individual making it highly likely that it was pre-1923 and in Public Domain in the United States. Public Domain must be established in the country of origin (Germany) and in the United States as well for use on Commons. Since it was pre-1923 based on all available evidence, it would PD in the US. Since it is anonymous, it would also be PD in Germany since copyright expires 70 years after publication for anonymous works. Warfieldian (talk)

Regarding the 300 live edits since 2012, I do have almost 3500 edits overall and have seasons of more activity and also take wikibreaks for periods of time. Warfieldian (talk)

I have regrettably misjudged the requirements for becoming an admin. I respectfully withdraw the request. Thanks for your consideration. Warfieldian (talk)
