Commons:Administrators/Requests/Victorrrmz
Comment I am closing this RfA early as failed. Commons does not have the en wp concept of SNOW enshrined but it is quite clear that this user has failed to really look at policy/practice etc and in the past I have simply deleted such pages when I have found them. The outcome is obvious and I failed to see why 'crats need to be bothered with this (& once upon a time I was one!). If anyone really disagrees feel free to talk to me (or a 'crat). --Herby talk thyme 09:12, 30 November 2011 (UTC)

... I have extensive knowledge in Internet navigation and code, I can also work with many pictures, poems, plus I spend most the time online and watching everything about every wiki. I look forward for you accept my administration sincere...--Victor (talk) 01:20, 27 November 2011 (UTC)Victor R. Ramirez

- Oppose. The candidate does not appear to adequately appreciate the concepts of original authorship and copyright. He has uploaded several images, claiming to be the author and copyright holder of all of them. The claims are not credible. E.g., this one is patently false, as described on the talk page; and these two are highly dubious because, although I have not located the original authors, there are multiple unattributed copies floating around the internet. ~ Ningauble (talk) 14:10, 28 November 2011 (UTC)*
- Oppose Lovely user I'm sure but your contributions here are far below an acceptable level for adminship. Thanks --Herby talk thyme 14:27, 28 November 2011 (UTC)
- Strong Oppose 35 edits in 1 year? I think this RfA should be speedily closed as SNOW--Morning Sunshine (talk) 15:07, 28 November 2011 (UTC)
- As this is Commons we don't have "snow" here (just fine weather) however I am seriously considering closing it. --Herby talk thyme 15:12, 28 November 2011 (UTC)
- I do support an speedy closure of this as it's obvious this will not succeed. Better if we spend our time reviewing "his" uploads I think. --Marco Aurelio (disputatio) 15:18, 28 November 2011 (UTC)

- I have reviewed his uploads -- deleted several as obvious copyvios. Three remain:
- File:La ramera.jpg appears to be OK -- PD very old
- File:Akatsuki claud.jpg looks suspicious, but I can't find a similar sized image
- File:Victor Ramirez.jpg is technically a copyvio unless he used a self-timer, but we generally ignore the issue in the case of User portraits.

- Strong oppose - Lacks experience as pointed by Herbythyme and Ningauble. Here the candidate overwrote an image with a copyright violation (now revision-deleted by me - admins can see here). User has also uploaded files with dubidous claims of own work ie: here (tineye search), here and so on. I'm concerned that the candidate does not understand the licensing policy by uploading copyright violations and the inclusion policy by uploading those pictures for self-promotion also in violation of Commons:What Commons is not. --Marco Aurelio (disputatio) 15:11, 28 November 2011 (UTC)
- Oppose Per above. Concerns with experience, policy knowledge. -FASTILY (TALK) 20:23, 28 November 2011 (UTC)
