I request that the admin rights of User:Florent Abel be removed. This admin lost the confidence of the community, using sockpuppets to double vote in DRs. See also the discussion at the user problems noticeboard: Commons:Administrators'_noticeboard/User_problems#Sockpuppetry and Commons:Administrators'_noticeboard/User_problems#Please de-admin User:Florent_Abel. - Remove As a admin, he knows the rules, and that is at least a case of meat puppet (if not a sock puppet). And the user never denied. If anyone get a accusation like that, the first impulse is defend himself and claims innocence. He, in the other hand, always act as a guilty person, which only make his position even worst. - I have denied but I'm already juged and condemned. Florent Abel (talk) 06:35, 1 June 2011 (UTC)
- Remove he demonstrated us impressively that he has no ability as admin --Wladyslaw (talk) 06:23, 1 June 2011 (UTC)
Comments
- Sorry, need more information this is too slim and not ready for a deadmin --Paddy (talk) 21:51, 31 May 2011 (UTC)
- No need to proceed with this request, as Florent Abel now has asked for de-admin by himself (resigned). --Túrelio (talk) 21:54, 31 May 2011 (UTC)
- Not sure I see that as a request to be deamined immediately, but a suggestion that if it would help he would resign. -mattbuck (Talk) 21:59, 31 May 2011 (UTC)
- At Meta they consider the statement insufficient, see here. So till now we don't have a reason to stop the RfA. Jcb (talk) 22:11, 31 May 2011 (UTC)
- His own request has now been granted on meta and his rights removed. Process/Voting should be closed now. --Túrelio (talk) 06:49, 1 June 2011 (UTC)

- Wrong page-title. This is a de-adminship procedure, therefore the page should be at Commons:Administrators/Requests/Florent Abel (de-adminship); so I've been bold and moved it. Feel free to revert it if you think it is a super bad idea. --Dferg (talk) 00:51, 1 June 2011 (UTC)
- Question silly one, maybe... but shouldn't we be using "keep" or "remove" templates here? Regards, --Dferg (talk) 00:59, 1 June 2011 (UTC)
- Apparently so. Will change Beria's and notify her and ask Paddy to clarify.--Chaser (talk) 01:49, 1 June 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks for the fixes in the procedure, luckely we hardly have experience with de-adminships. Now he gave up his adminrights himself and the rights have been removed this procedure can be stopped. Could a bureaucrat speedy close this? Jcb (talk) 07:12, 1 June 2011 (UTC)
- Why would it need a bureaucrat? Jafeluv (talk) 07:37, 1 June 2011 (UTC)
- I think that is the SOP. I've left a notice at COM:BN. --Túrelio (talk) 07:44, 1 June 2011 (UTC)
