I'm here to nominate Ellin Beltz to be our next admin. Ellin has over 10000 edits here on Commons, with more than 2000 edits in the Commons namespace. Ellin does a lot of work with deletion requests and has experience with scope and copyright. Ellin also has a mature attitude and a willingness to learn. We need more admins who participate in the DR process. I think Ellin would make a good admin, and I hope the community agrees. INeverCry 19:15, 20 February 2014 (UTC)
- Candidate acceptance: I accept the nomination. I would like to continue learning about the deletions project, rooting out images which don't meet scope or might be copyright violations. I would also like to encourage more users to participate in Deletions; there are too few trying to do too much over there and I think it leads to burnout. Thank you, INC, I'm happy to accept your nomination! Ellin Beltz (talk) 23:49, 20 February 2014 (UTC)

- Oppose, as per the kind of language used in here («passionate about stickers in the gutter», «accusations and emotionalism», «they are angry at the admins and trying to waste time for everyone», «very defensive/offensive arguments»). We have enough nasty admins as it is, no need for one more. -- Tuválkin ✉ 01:10, 21 February 2014 (UTC)
- Tuvalkin, you're rude and sarcastic all the time, especially in deletion requests and undeletion requests. Who are you to talk about someone being nasty? I think the above comments, if used in reference to your usual behavior, are absolutely spot on. What does "nasty admin" mean? Someone who doesn't agree with you, or who calls you on your rudeness? INeverCry 01:28, 21 February 2014 (UTC)
- I’m not applying to adminship here. Ellin is. My opinion about the matter at hand is expressed. The only cogent reply would be to frame those comments as unrepresentative of this prospective new admin. Addressing my own supposed rudeness is irrelevant here/now. -- Tuválkin ✉ 03:03, 21 February 2014 (UTC)
- Why would Ellin giving an opinion in a reply on her own talkpage be a problem? She made no personal attacks and didn't say anything "nasty". You just don't like people who disagree with all your usual uncivil behavior and implausible keep votes/undeletion rationales. INeverCry 03:40, 21 February 2014 (UTC)
- INC, addressing the one new and relevant point you present in this further derailing: I never imagined and really still do not think that the language quoted above was directed against me (I don’t think Ellin even knows I exist). I should add that I am ready to change my vote should Ellin acknowledge that from an admin are expected standards of behaviour far more stringent than from a regular user and that the quoted/linked exchange would have been phrased differently (if held at all) should Ellin had been an admin at the time. -- Tuválkin ✉ 06:32, 21 February 2014 (UTC)

- Oppose I've seen some unjustified DR about Free software screenshots, which makes me think that Ellin do not search enought information about the copyright status of the file before nominating a file (and also suggest to delete file in use for not being in scope). -- PierreSelim (talk) 12:20, 25 February 2014 (UTC)
- The screenshot description page obviously has the wrong license template applied. Gem-d-lion is very likely not the copyright holder. Same with File:GNOME 3.10.png, where map credits are missing. -- Rillke(q?) 21:29, 27 February 2014 (UTC)
- Neutral. I have known her for too little for judging in either direction. But a thing I might say: if all the complaints are about the behaviour pointed out by @Tuvalkin: , i can assure him that Ellin's has been extremely polite and gentle if we consider that she was talking about the behaviour of someone that would challenge everyone's patience... That said, an user who loves cats can't be a bad administrator at all :-) -- SERGIO (aka the Blackcat) 09:41, 26 February 2014 (UTC)

Hi, Ellin. (Is it right way to call you?) Please look all uploads of Toksoz (talk · contribs) (there are only five of them) and decide: which ones have some problems with copyright? My vote depends on your answer. (I found this month ago and kept in secret for some request for admin.) Taivo (talk) 12:28, 21 February 2014 (UTC)
- You may wish to comment [1] here, [2] here, or [3] here. I didn't nominate the black and white portrait of the former President of Turkey since I am unsure of the free rights given by their goverment. The image is on their website as sourced by the uploader. I also found this old deletion discussion [4] but I do not know if that was the same image or not. Cheers!
