I'm here to nominate Czar to be our next Commons admin. Czar is an active license reviewer with 11,500+ edits, including more than 700 edits in the Commons namespace. He has experience with DR and CSD though his image reviewing and patrolling new uploads. He's expressed interest to me in helping out with DR, where we could definitely use it.

Czar has been an en.wiki admin since November, 2014, so he's familiar with using the tools and being in a position of trust. He does quite a bit of deletion work on en.wiki, including closing a significant number of AFDs (articles for deletion), which takes a careful and thoughtful approach. He's also an OTRS member, which can aid in restorations here.

I think Czar would make a good Commons admin, and I hope the community agrees. Thanks for your consideration. INeverCry 00:49, 8 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you—I accept the nomination. I'm mainly interested in helping to squash the DR backlog, which should take a while. The tools would also be helpful when processing duplicates, enwp moves, and other speedy situations. I'll add to the nom that I've also been active in enwp's Files for Deletion and, at Commons, external license review (most recently with the Tasnim images backlog). I tend to do more individual reviews than batch uploads or category changes. You might also be interested in my collection of OTRS-secured video game assets. Appreciate your consideration and hope to serve you soon. czar 04:21, 8 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Yep—is that an issue? Everything I'd show is already in the corner of my talk page. I think it's easier. czar 15:18, 8 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Well, that's not really an issue, but I prefer candidates having information on their user page rather than making it a redirect. But if you don't want to remove the redirect on your userpage, that's fine, it is not mandatory (FYI, I voted support). Poké95 00:52, 9 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
College nickname, and my other preferences were unviable. It hasn't once been a point of disruption in all my years of editing. czar 16:52, 8 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
The name Jesus is a very common first name in Mexico (and perhaps some other Spanish-speaking countries) and here in the Western US - it's pronounced hay-soos. That might be why there's been no block. INeverCry 17:01, 8 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
