Truffles categories
[edit]There is 2 cat that are overlapping : Category:Truffles category:Tuberaceae. I proposed to keep the second one as this is the convention for name of plants. - Zil (d) 20:43, 2 February 2009 (UTC)
- Oppose There are many commercial applications and subcats around truffles (cuisine, pics, harvesting, dishes) so we tend to keep that separate from the species. --Foroa (talk) 06:50, 16 February 2009 (UTC)
- Problème will be to find a border between species and social usage:
-
Is it the parasite of the tuberaceae or the fly that helps to find the truffle ?
-
Is it a nice specimen of the tuberaceae or some indication on the price of a truffle ?
- How could we link the 2 cats together ? Which one should be in which one ? - Zil (d) 17:15, 16 February 2009 (UTC)
- I suggest to use the species, as a provider, delivery of the basic (scientific) material, to the upper level (I connected both cats). You have simular structures with flax, hemp, cotton and I guess even wine, bread/cereals, ... Idem for the fly (species cat by preference) that should be in the truffles cat. Note that you have upcoming Belgian truffles too and I have no idea how many Tuberaceae species are involved. --Foroa (talk) 17:58, 16 February 2009 (UTC)
