English: The Upper Las Virgenes Canyon Open Space Preserve, also known as The Ahmanson Ranch — a regional open space park [3,000 acres (1,200 ha)] in the East Simi Hills, within easternmost Ventura County, in Southern California.
- Located above the western San Fernando Valley; with access from and adjacent to West Hills, Woodland Hills, Hidden Hills and Calabasas.
- Hiking trails (foot, equestrian, bicycle) and long vistas link from Ahmanson Ranch to adjacent Cheeseboro and Palo Comado Canyons Open Space parks in the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area system in the Simi Hills, and several L.A. City open space parks flanking Escorpión Peak in West Hills and Bell Canyon.
- The headwaters of Las Virgenes Creek, the eastern tributary of Malibu Creek, are in the park, supporting a rare southern population of California red-legged frog (Rana draytonii).
