Relating to Lithuanian stamps (and other postal products too) it concerns the currencies: Pfennig, Mark, Cent, Litas, Talonas, Kopek; Rubel:

  • 1: no ending or ending -as (for instance: "1 Centas") (= nominative singular)
  • 2: ending -u (for instance: "2 Centu") (= genitive dual)
  • 3, 4, 5, ..., 9 all numbers from 3 to 9: ending -ai (for instance "5 Centai") (= nominativ plural)
  • 10, 11, 12, ..., 19 all numbers from 10 to 19: ending (for instance : "15 Centų") (= genitive plural)
  • 10, 20, 30, ... all full decimals: ending (for instance "20 Centų") (= genitive plural)
  • 100, 200, 300, ... all full hundreds: ending (for instance "500 Centų") (= genitive plural)
  • 1000, 2000, 3000, ... all full thousands: ending (for instance "10.000 Centų") (= genitive plural)

etc.

  • ½, ¼ all fractional numerals: ending (= genitive plural)
  • At all other numerals between the above-mentioned: ending -ai. (for instance: "25 Centai") (= nominative plural)
