Ole Mathias Pedersen (1822-1914) of Klungland, was a baker in Farsund, Norway. After the death of his wife in 1865, he raised his children by himself and never remarried. Five of his children migrated to the United States. Theodore, Peder, Otto, and Lena lived in Chicago, Illinois. Salmine lived in Manhattan and then moved to New Jersey. (b.
