Loni Alma Cohn (1921-2017) survived the Holocaust by emigrating to the United States on 5 February 1937. Her father, Ernst Cohn, operated a cotton brokerage in Germany. It was nationalized by the Nazis and Ernst emigrated from Germany with his family.
