Deutsch: Das Karori Wildlife Sanctuary ist ein dem Naturschutz dienendes Areal in Wellington in Neuseeland. Hier versucht man, die Biodiversität auf einer ökologischen Insel von 225 Hektar Wald wieder herzustellen. Das Schutzgebiet umfasst ein früher der Wassergewinnung für Wellington dienendes Gebiet zwischen dem an Karori grenzenden Wrights Hill und dem Kowhai Park.

English: Karori Wildlife Sanctuary, now promoted as ZEALANDIA, is a protected natural area in Wellington, New Zealand, where the bio-diversity of 225 ha (just under a square mile) of forest is being restored. The sanctuary covers an area that was previously used as the water catchment area for Wellington, between Wrights Hill (bordering Karori) and the Brooklyn wind turbine on Polhill. The sanctuary, surrounded by a pest-exclusion fence, is a good example of an ecological island.
