The Bessemer-American Motors Corp. was an American automobile truck manufacturer from 1924 until 1926. The company was formed in 1924 by merging the American Motors Corporation of Plainfield, New Jersey, founded 1917 (unrelated to later founded 1954), and the Bessemer Motor Truck Company of Grove City, Pennsylvania, founded 1911, manufacturer oft trucks branded Bessemer .
The motor vehicles branded American, American Balanced Six, American Six, and Bessemer (trucks only) continued until 1925. A merger under a new coreporation Amalgamated Motors with Winther (trucks) and Northway (automobiles, trucks, and engines) was negotiated c. 1923, but did not realize.
