English: In geometry, a 4-polytope (sometimes called a polychoron) is a four-dimensional polytope. It is a connected and closed figure, composed of lower dimensional polytopal elements: vertices, edges, faces (polygons), and cells (polyhedra). Each face is shared by exactly two cells.

Nederlands: Een polychoron (meervoud: polychora) is in de meetkunde een vierdimensionale polytoop. Het woord komt van de Griekse wortel poly, wat "veel", en choros wat "ruimte" betekent. Een polychoron wordt ook wel een 4-polytoop of polyhedroïde genoemd. Het tweedimensionale analogon van een polychoron is een veelhoek (eng: 'polygon'), en het driedimensionale analogon is is een veelvlak (Engels: 'polyhedron').
Simple English: In geometry, a polychoron (plural: polychora) is a four-dimensional figure. The word comes from Greek poly, which means many and choros which means room, or space. Sometimes the figure is called 4-polytope or polyhedroid. The two-dimensional analogue figure is a polygon, and the three-dimensional one is a polyhedron.
