This category contains icons originally created for flying junctions (in German: Ü berw erfungsbauwerk), but can also be used for broad-radius curves and other configurations. All these icons connect at a corner with the line running at a 45° angle.
Basic curve icons use the STR root with suffixes.
If the track comes from the top and goes to the bottom, no additional suffix is required. STR
If the track comes from the top and goes to a position on the side, a single suffix to determine the direction is added. STRr to the right STR3 to corner 3 STR1 to corner 1
If the track comes from a position on the side and goes to the bottom, a "+" is added to indicate "coming from"; a single suffix is added to indicate the origin. STR+r from the right STR+3 from corner 3 STR+1 from corner 1
If the track comes from a position on the side and moves to another position on the side, we add a single suffix to indicate the "to" direction (this suffix must be the one closest to the bottom); a "+" to indicate "coming from"; another suffix to indicate the origin. There are two versions of 45° interruption (L ücke) curves:
The L STR group have a straight line at the corner, and are designed to connect with a solid line with two regular STRc* corners (1).
The LL STR group have a quarter of a dot at the corner, and are designed to connect with a solid line with LLSTRc*a/e corners (2), or with another interruption with two LLSTRc* corners (4). In the examples to the right the green illustrates the correct configurations (1, 2, 4), and the red the incorrect (3, 5). (In all cases the corner icons are displayed in blue for visibility.)
