Search

Overview

Search is an important tool of OsmAnd that allows you to find required places, objects, or addresses. The available search options provide different ways to find objects. You can use search by address for precise navigation, search by POI categories to find the nearest objects, the Explore tab to discover popular places nearby and return to places from your history, and search by coordinates for precise location.

Search All

The Search tool finds addresses, points of interest, coordinates, and place names entered in a single search field. The article also covers sorting of search results, Search Around, and Search on the Map.

Search Address

Address search helps you find an exact address by typing it in full, by selecting the city, street, and house number one after another, or by postcode.

Search Explore

The Explore tab helps you discover popular places around you and return to places from your history. On Android, the tab has two sections. Popular places nearby shows well-known landmarks and attractions near your location, and History lists your previous searches and navigation destinations. On iOS, only search history is available, on the History tab.

Search POI

POI search finds points of interest by category, name, or brand. Custom POI filters let you combine several categories and save them for later use.

Search Coordinates

Coordinate search finds an exact location from its geographic coordinates.
