Data Processing for Support Services​

To provide efficient technical assistance and manage user inquiries, OsmAnd utilizes external services and processes specific data related to your requests.

Support via Zendesk Help Center​

When you submit to contact us through our Support team, we use Zendesk, a customer service platform provided by Zendesk Inc. (989 Market Street, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA). In this capacity, Zendesk acts as a data processor under Art. 28 GDPR.

The following information is collected and stored within Zendesk to resolve your issue:

  • Contact Details: Your email address and name (if provided).
  • Metadata: The timestamp of your inquiry and technical logs.
  • Content: The subject line, the body of your message, and any files or screenshots you upload as attachments.

International Data Transfer: Your data is processed on servers located in the USA. This transfer is legally based on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, as Zendesk Inc. is a certified participant, ensuring a level of data protection equivalent to European standards (Art. 45 GDPR).

We store this information only for the duration necessary to provide the requested support and to fulfill our legal record-keeping obligations.
