Thank you for uploading files on Commons.
Please note that on Commons English names are used for categories, and local language for gallery page names. See Commons:Language policy for details.
Please add images in most relevant category. In you case Category:Златибор is enough, because it's subcategory of Category:Mountains of Srbija, which is subcategory of Category:Mountains by country. If you'll add images in generic categories like Category:Mountains, they'll become overcrowded and useless for search.

Upload of Hosta image
[edit]Hello Tsnena! When you recieve an upload warning during upload, you should go back to "Re-upload", change the name of the file you want to upload and try a second time. Otherwise you will overwrite an existing photo, as you did in Image:Hosta.jpg. I reverted this file to the original version and re-uploaded your photo as Image:Hosta_Tsnena.jpg. Please, be more careful in future. Regards --Franz Xaver 09:12, 25 March 2006 (UTC)
Image Tagging Image:Tucak hibiskusa2.jpg
[edit]
Thanks for uploading Image:Tucak hibiskusa2.jpg. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikimedia Commons (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag, then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use to release it under the Creative Commons or PD-self to release it into the public domain. See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find all your uploads using the Gallery tool. Thank you. - Please wait a bit longer than a mere 3 minutes before placing this message on another user's talk page. What's the desperate hurry? Torvindus 02:23, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
- No insult is intended.. but many (most?) uploaders leave the website after a few minutes... never to return again... Our response rate on older images is quite poor. --Gmaxwell 05:39, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
Why have you requested this be deleted? I just transcoded it into the proper Ogg/Theora format. --Gmaxwell 05:39, 14 October 2006 (UTC)

Image:Pauk2.ogg
[edit]Hi, can you indicate on the image page why you want Image:Pauk2.ogg deleted? It is in "Incomplete deletion requests" at the moment, and unless a reason is given & the template filled out, it will not be deleted. Thank you. Deadstar 14:19, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
Hello, and thank your for sharing your files with Commons. There seems to be a problem regarding the description and/or licensing of this particular file. Please remember that all uploads require source, author and license information. Could you please resolve these problems, which are described on the page linked in above? Thank you. --Siebrand 18:44, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
Deletion requests
[edit]Hi, I have taken the deletion requests off the files Image:Pauk.AVI.ogg and Image:Pauk2.ogg as there was no reason given. If you still need them deleted, please go back to the file, add the template and a reason and follow the rest of the steps so it can be processed. Deadstar 13:42, 29 August 2007 (UTC)

Tip: Categorizing images
[edit]
Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.
Here's how:
1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:
2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".
When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").
Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.BotMultichillT 04:02, 8 September 2009 (UTC)

File:Leptirko.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.
If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues. |

Misidentified image File:Potentilla-ternata.jpg
[edit]-
your photograph
-
Potentilla erecta
-
Potentilla anglica
Hi Tsnena,
I just changed the ID of your photograph left above to Potentilla erecta. Potentilla aurea (including its subspecies) has got five petals and looks quite different from your plant, which has always 4 petals. Assuming that your photograph is from a European wildflower the only species that is sufficiently similar might be Potentilla anglica, but this is not probably so upright, it might have some 5merous leaves and flowers and a creeping stem spreading by runners. So this should be Potentilla erecta (as far as I know from the Flora Europaea). BTW: The photograph should be renamed. With best regards --Robert Flogaus-Faust (talk) 21:36, 9 February 2019 (UTC)
