Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

Location?

Hi Tisha - thanks for adding your excellent photos to Commons! Could you add some details to them about where you took them, please? Location data makes photos much more useful, as it allows for subspecies identification, and adding the most suitable categories. Thanks! - MPF (talk) 11:29, 7 May 2023 (UTC)

How to ask for speedy-delete of an empty category

When you want to ask for speedy-delete of an empty category, best practice is to mark it with {{SD|C2}} if it would be OK to re-create it in the future, given that appropriate content becomes available or {{SD|C1}} if it is an inappropriate category name that should not be reused. In particular, this is better practice than just blanking the category page, as you did at Category:Ashy drongo. ("C1" and "C2" come from Commons:Criteria for speedy deletion). Otherwise, it can take a long time to find these and delete them; in this case it took over three months. Jmabel ! talk 20:19, 10 August 2024 (UTC)
