User talk:Thoughtful and Considerate
Our first steps tour and our frequently asked questions will help you a lot after registration. They explain how to customize the interface (for example the language), how to upload files and our basic licensing policy (Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content). You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold when contributing and assume good faith when interacting with others. This is a wiki. More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (webchat). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at the copyright village pump. |

- As the file you tagged for speedy deletion already had been kept from a previous request, it did not qualify for speedy so I converted it to a deletion request, at Commons:Deletion requests/File:Nicholas Alahverdian and Andre Dubus III.jpg. Note: If you can present specific verifiable evidence that this image is on Wikimedia with false information regarding authorship or copyright status (eg, a link to earlier publication or website with the photo before it was uploaded here) that would much help in resolving the matter promptly. -- Infrogmation of New Orleans (talk) 15:27, 8 January 2021 (UTC)
- In reply to your question on my talk page at User_talk:Infrogmation#Hello: If you can present info/evidence showing this is a copyright violation, you are encouraged to do so either on the deletion request page linked above or if you prefer it can be sent privately via Commons:OTRS.
- More details regarding this particular photo and Wikimedia Commons procedures: The file was previously listed for deletion by the uploader a few years after they uploaded it. However the uploader gave no reason for the the deletion request, and it was judged to be a useful image, so it was kept. Files that were previously kept generally do not qualify for immediate speedy deletion (as you tagged the photo) unless obvious evidence of copyright infringement has been presented. (Yes, you have clearly stated that it is a copyright violation, but you have given no way for this to be verified - understand that Commons occasionally gets deliberately false statements for mischievous or malicious purposes, and you just opened an account here today.) Specific evidence of copyright fraud will be dealt with promptly. Thank you. -- Infrogmation of New Orleans (talk) 15:59, 8 January 2021 (UTC)
