Hi, I'm afraid I can't find this image in https://bannedthought.net/Korea-DPRK/KimIlSung/KimIlSung-ReminiscencesWithTheCentury-1.pdf - if that's the right source book, could you point me to the specific page? Thanks. Belbury (talk) 19:24, 19 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I am sorry that I had listed the incorrect source. The exact photo originates from a set of stamps made by the DPRK, Although the actual photo itself is much, much older. It was photographed about 20~30 years before the matching portrait of Kim Pohyon was taken. It can be found for sale on several websites:

P.S.
I did not acknowledge the AI tags at first. You can place a deletion request if you'd like on every one of the colorized/upscaled files I have uploaded of the Kim family in the DPRK.
Thanks for reaching out,Tatsnorad (talk) 19:37, 19 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Not a problem, colorised and upscaled files are okay for Commons, it's just an issue on the English Wikipedia where en:MOS:IMAGES says to generally use the original versions instead.
What's the context for where exactly File:Yi Poi (Lee Bo-ik).png came from and how much it was edited? The all4coins.ru link above doesn't work for me, but the other three links show a black and white image. Belbury (talk) 19:45, 19 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The photo of Yi Poik (which I mispelled as Yi Poi) was colorized. Tatsnorad (talk) 19:47, 19 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Got it, thanks for clarifying. I'll flag the file as colorized and mark it for renaming, on the typo. Can you update the file page to give the correct source for where you took the image from? --Belbury (talk) 19:53, 19 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I fixed it. Can I also upload the original photos (Uncolorised and un-upscaled) to the Wikipedia pages for Yi Poik, Kim Hyong-Jik, and Kang Pan Sok to wikipedia as they are lighter and show more of the photo?
Thanks, Tatsnorad (talk) 20:00, 19 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Sure, go ahead! I've actually already just done that for Lee Bo-ik. Belbury (talk) 20:04, 19 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! Tatsnorad (talk) 20:06, 19 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
