Sorry I had to revert your image note...

[edit]

...but the image's lighting may have confused you into thinking the radiator was brass, leading you to think it had to be a pre-1917 model. Though the lighting is a bit yellowish, what you see isn't brass, but nickel plate. Although this car is the only 1924-1925 Runabout in Commons with such a radiator, if you look at the corresponding Touring subcategory, you can find several examples with very similar radiators. Also, if you compare this radiator with the brass one of a pre-1917 Model T, you'll see that it differs not just in color, but in shape. The pre-1917 radiator is much more angular, as is the hood, and there are other differences in form.

The 1925 page in the online encyclopedia maintained by the Model T Ford Club of America remarks on the 1925 radiator, "Nickel-plated shell was offered as an option late in production, before the 1926 models." In general, this site seems to me to be an extremely detailed and thorough source on the Model T's history and evolution, if you happen to be interested in that. --Colin Douglas Howell (talk) 10:36, 7 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
