Hello Yann!

[edit]

Hi @Yann: , have a good day. I am retired from Wikipedia but I still sometimes want to restore the historical facts on certain maps, when other contributors introduce errors like here [2]. But I take good note that this represents a serious offense which can cause a blockage, which will delight those who, for political, religious or ideological reasons, prefer to hide some historical facts but, not succeeding so far in excluding me of Wikipedia, use my technical and methodological clumsiness to pass me off as a troll or a vandal. I take good note that a digital map created «for and on» Commons, is as sacred as a historical work of art and therefore intangible, an I ask to the community «since this is so, why did you keep the "upload new version" function? It's nonsense.» You Yann, «do what must, come what may». Wishes, Spiridon Ion Cepleanu (talk) 08:38, 7 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Spiridon Ion Cepleanu: Yes, this could be controversial. I suggest to discuss any change first on the talk page, and to get a consensus before. Thanks, Yann (talk) 09:21, 7 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Good day. There is a clear mistake on the map you have drawn - the "Azerbaijan" region is located SOUTH of the Araks River, but not in Transcaucasia. Examples: 1, 2, 3, 4. And Armenia is clearly to the north and a little to the east.1, 2, 3, 4. I would be grateful if you fix it quickly. Well-read MountainMan (talk) 16:10, 24 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

What's interesting though, is how many wikis use that image, and which ones. I guess they don't see much of a problem ? — Jerome Potts (talk) 23:09, 20 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
A lot. They don't see it, because, apparently, they don't notice it, but READERS see it, but this is a historical mistake, the area is MUCH further south, please, please correct the inaccuracy--Well-read MountainMan (talk) 17:28, 22 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
One more, and more--Well-read MountainMan (talk) 12:09, 29 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Would you, you all colleagues please, verify on the historical sources and old maps that «Azebaïdjan» is a name, used not only by a modern state, but also by a large territory of former Persia, on the both sides of Arax river? Thank you very much! --Spiridon Ion Cepleanu (talk) 13:17, 31 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This map is not political and show not irrendentist claims but only historic european lands where Romanians (with others) lived. --Spiridon Ion Cepleanu (talk) 13:17, 31 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

On my opinion this file must be renamed because Regiuni Româneşti means "Romanian regions". Renamed as Regiuni istorice în România și vecinătate meaning "Historic regions in Romania and neighborough". --Spiridon Ion Cepleanu (talk) 13:17, 31 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Changes to German Settlement Zone

[edit]

Two days ago you edited the image of Occupied France during WWII reducing down the Zone of German Settlement. Do you have sources that claim it is smaller or? Sandjaar (talk) 07:52, 21 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
