Curious about Slobot's code

Hello, my name is Michael Barera and I am interested in creating an internationalization/localization bot on Commons very similar to Slobot. I have personally seen many files in need of internationalization and would really like to help Commons by creating and operating a bot that can do this automatically, doing essentially the same thing that Slobot does. Seeing that Slobot has not edited since September 2010 and knowing the number files in need of internationalization is quite high, I am very interested in creating an internationalization bot, although experience may be an issue. I have no prior experience with bots, although I have just learned basic Python, so I am especially interested in Slobot because it is a pywikipedia-based bot. I'm curious if you would be willing to share its code with me. I don't know what the status of its code is (ie, if it is proprietary or not) or how it runs (on the Toolserver, your computer, or somewhere else), but I though I'd ask. Userbox Wikinews

This is to inform you that I have recreated the userbox User Wikinews which you had earlier deleted. If userboxes like User Wikipedia and Arabic Wikipedia can exist then why not the userbox of Wikinews? Expecting a reply from you, especially if you are again planning to delete it. Have you read the comment that goes with the deletion? It says, that you can use the template {{PUser}} to do the same.
You just have to type {{PUser|en|n}} to get what you want.
But if you prefer your own insular solution that is unlocalized and doesn't allow to link to different language editions of Wikinews: go ahead. I have no admin rights on Commons anymore. I can't stop you. --Slomox (talk) 09:34, 1 March 2013 (UTC)

localizeSignature

Hallo,

Ich habe deine Name auf der Seite MediaWiki:Common.js im Teil „localizeSignature“ gelesen. Auf fr.wikipedia haben wir neulich Standardeinstellungen geändert: das Link zur Diskussionsseite ist nicht mehr „(d)“ sondern „(discuter)“. Könnten wir das auch auf Commons anpassen? Das dürfte kein Problem sein. Allerdings müsstest du dich auf der dortigen Diskussionsseite melden, da ich mittlerweile keine Administratorrechte mehr auf Commons habe und die Seite nicht selber editieren kann. --Slomox (talk) 07:08, 4 September 2013 (UTC)

Als ich die Änderung vor vier Jahren gemacht habe, da funktionierte es korrekt. Allerdings hat sich seitdem anscheinend die MediaWiki-Software dahingehend geändert, dass die Systemnachrichten MediaWiki:Allpagesnext und MediaWiki:Allpagesprev entfernt worden sind. Ich habe das jetzt durch zwei lokal lokalisierbare Vorlagen ersetzt und die Änderung bei Template:BookNaviBar2 sowie bei Template:BookNaviBarPre angewandt. Sie müsste ebenfalls noch bei Template:BookNaviBar angewandt werden, aber dazu fehlen mir die Admin-Rechte. Vielleicht kannst du das für mich erledigen.
PS: Beim Klick auf deine Signatur ist mir aufgefallen, dass die Links ins Leere führen, weil die deutschen Namensraumbezeichnungen drinstehen. --Slomox (talk) 11:32, 19 December 2013 (UTC)
