Own work
[edit]When you scan something or take it from the web, it is not "own work". For example, File:U.S.S. Simpson, near the Chinese coast c1925.jpg can not be your "own work" since you were probably not alive in 1925 to photograph that ship. You are also not the licensee or copyright holder, so you can not license something you did not create as cc-by-sa-4.0 and template:own is also not correct. The date in the information template is intended to be the date of the photo and the source is intended to be where the photo came from. Scanned from a postcard, might be an example. Please go back and fix your uploads to reflect the correct source, ie. where it came from / who the photographer was, etc. And fix the dates as well. Thank you. These will all need to be fixed or deleted from commons. Dual Freq (talk) 22:35, 7 February 2024 (UTC)
