- I did not vote because of our mutual agreement, but of course, it is a FP in my mind too. Congrats ! --Jebulon (talk) 14:40, 2 June 2014 (UTC)
- That is kind of you to say, Jebulon! Glad you reminded me about the mutual agreement, as I think I had forgotten, and I was just about to vote on the tank. Now, I will keep you in suspense, what I would have voted. --Slaunger (talk) 20:15, 2 June 2014 (UTC)
- I think I opposed a similar image earlier (last year); will oppose, if found on time. Lucky. Jee 16:29, 2 June 2014 (UTC)
- Actually, Jkadavoor, last year you ended up voting neutral on one FPC and support another from the same location, and back then you encouraged me to explore these kinds of shots, as you found them more interesting then the "gloomy ones" I presented then. So now that you have changed your mind, I am glad you never noticed this nomination:-) Actually, I would probably never have taken this photo if you had not encouraged me into trying it more out back then. --Slaunger (talk) 20:15, 2 June 2014 (UTC)
- Hahaha; it was a funny and sarcastic comment. In fact I'm tired by the stress in FPC (just before your recent come back); that why I do not review much nowadays. It is indeed a mood fascinating view! Jee 02:31, 3 June 2014 (UTC)

Did you sharpen it? It a stunning pic but thought it might be a bit soft. Saffron Blaze (talk) 14:10, 23 June 2014 (UTC)
- @Saffron Blaze: You are right about the softness, and thanks for asking. I have sharpened it in the raw converter a to the level, where I find it justifiable (no fringes, and no significant increase in noise). I do not like the "hard look" you get from additional sharpening. Regrettably my Canon kit lenses are not of very good quality. Especially, they are really bad at the edges when it comes to "washed-out ness" and CA. Before I corrected the CA in the raw converter, it looked simply terrible. But there is only so much you can do to salvage the symptoms of sub-optical glass. It is just about the best I can get out of the system. Notice the perspective correction is also rather extreme (see other version), so the focal distance to different parts of the building varies a lot from top to bottom. I have used f/11 as a resonable compromise between DOF and exposure time (I had no tripod). New glass is on my wishlist! --Slaunger (talk) 14:33, 23 June 2014 (UTC)
